Professional Landscape Maintenance, Irrigation & Construction for Your Home
Preferred Landscape Services proudly serves Hillsboro homeowners as a local, family-owned company offering landscape maintenance, irrigation, landscape construction, synthetic lawns, and other outdoor services. If you're looking for a dependable crew to keep your yard in shape week after week, we can help. If you're planning something bigger, like a new patio, a renovated planting area, or a replacement lawn, our experienced team can take that on too.
We put our focus on quality workmanship, reliable service, and open communication, so working with us stays simple from the first conversation to the finished job.
What We Offer Hillsboro Homeowners
Many Hillsboro homes sit on compact lots where every square foot counts, so a well-kept lawn, tidy beds, and a usable patio can make a noticeable difference. Rain through the winter and dry stretches in summer also shape how a yard should be cared for, and we plan our work accordingly.
Landscape Maintenance
Weekly maintenance keeps your property looking sharp without adding another chore to your list. Depending on the plan you choose, services can include mowing, edging, fertilizing, weeding, pruning, and leaf and debris removal. A steady schedule also helps keep smaller yards from looking overgrown between visits.
Landscape Construction & Hardscaping
Our construction team can help you make better use of your outdoor space with patios, walkways, retaining walls, landscape renovations, lawn replacement, and planting. Whether the goal is a spot for entertaining or a cleaner, more organized layout, we'll work with you to plan a project that fits your property.
Irrigation SERVICES
Efficient watering keeps your lawn and plants healthy through the dry season. We handle irrigation repairs and troubleshooting, and we install new systems for homeowners who want a more reliable setup.
Synthetic Lawns
With a synthetic lawn, you get the look of green grass without the mowing, watering, or regular upkeep. We install turf for homeowners seeking a clean, low-maintenance option, making it a practical choice for smaller yards with heavy use.
Ready to Refresh Your Hillsboro Landscape?
Whether you need weekly maintenance, irrigation work, or a project you've been meaning to start, we'd like to hear about it. Reach out anytime to speak with a professional about landscaping services in Hillsboro, including maintenance, hardscaping, irrigation, and synthetic lawns.

"I can’t recommend taking care of moss soon enough!"
Moss might look harmless, but it can be dangerous. I learned that the hard way—slipping on moss on my deck caused me to break my leg. Getting rid of moss isn’t just about keeping your surfaces clean; it’s about preventing accidents and keeping your family safe. I can’t recommend taking care of moss soon enough!- Anonymous -

"Outstanding Service"
David has done 4 major landscaping projects for us over about 10 years. We have been extremely happy with each project. What really shows their high quality of customer service is illustrated in how I emailed David to let him know I thought one of the sprinkler heads was leaking. He got right back to me and let me know he would stop by sometime during the week. He actually came the next day and replaced the sprinkler head with one that will handle the draining water bettter (i.e. It is in the lowest spot on the line). He emailed me with what he had done. Can't get better service than that!!!!- Jean S. -
"I never realized moss could be so dangerous"
I was riding my bike around a corner on my driveway when I hit a patch of moss. I slipped and ended up breaking my foot and shoulder. I never realized moss could be so dangerous. Now I know—removing it isn’t just about appearance, it’s about keeping yourself safe.- Anonymous -
"They Were Great, Showed up on Time, Worked Hard the Whole Time They Were Here."
They were great, showed up on time, worked hard the whole time they were here, finished in a timely manner, and did everything required. In fact, I called them back to do some additional work. I would recommend them.- Stephanie -

"We are really happy with the quality of all the work done by David and the team!"
They re-built a large retaining wall and re-sculpted and planted the rest of our yard to match our new landscape design. It was a large job and David kept us updated with good communication the whole way through. Leo and the crew were hard-working, respectful, and tidy. The entire team was easy to work with and we love the results. Thank you!- Barb & Chris -
"David Was Great to Work With!"
David was great to work with. He listened to what we were wanting to do and made suggestions as to how best accomplish our ideas. His crew was on time, worked steadily, and cleaned up after themselves. They are very accomplished at laying paver walkways and patios and did great job on the curved areas as well as those that were straight. We have received many compliments from neighbors and friends and are very satisfied with the work that was done.- Kim
